Burners keep going in an outage

LG's gas stove manual says a burner already lit when the power fails keeps running, and the others can be lit with a match. The oven is out until power returns, and a bake in progress simply stops.

Yellow flames on a humid day

LG notes that burner flames may turn yellow in high humidity, on a rainy day or next to a humidifier, and that after a propane conversion flames can look larger with a pot on. Fully yellow flames in dry weather are a different matter.

Every igniter clicks at once

On LG gas stoves all the spark igniters fire when you light a single burner. LG warns not to clean around one burner while another is on, since the spark can give a shock that makes you knock a hot pan.

Clock doubles as the lock

On the LG gas stove manual read for this page, pressing and holding the Clock key for three seconds locks the oven door and the control panel. A panel that ignores every key may just be locked.

Parts

LG's code list separates the upper and lower oven, the griddle and the induction zones, so the code tells the technician which sensor, lock or board to bring. Parts lead times were not confirmed on an LG source.

Repair or replace

HS, PF, Sb and a locked panel need no part. For sensor, lock and igniter codes on a stove that is otherwise in good shape, repair is usually the better choice.

Can I cook on my LG gas stove during a blackout?
On the top, yes. LG says burners already lit keep going and the rest can be lit with a match, with care. The oven cannot be used until power returns.
Why are the flames on my LG stove yellow today?
LG notes that high humidity, a rainy day or a humidifier nearby can make the flames yellow. If they stay yellow in dry air or leave soot on pans, book a visit.
Why do all the burners on my LG click when I light one?
All the spark igniters fire together on LG gas stoves. It is normal; a burner that keeps clicking after it lights is the thing to report.
My LG stove ignores the keys. Is it locked?
It may be. On the LG gas stoves covered here, pressing and holding Clock for three seconds locks the door and panel, and the same action unlocks it.
