Built from separate pieces

Gaggenau offers gas, induction, Teppan Yaki or electric grill on top, and an oven, combi-microwave, vacuuming or warming drawer below, in widths from 30 to 60 inches. Replacing one piece does not mean replacing the other.

Controls on the front edge

Gaggenau's gas cooktops pair solid brass burners with illuminated solid stainless steel controls on the front surface. A control that will not turn or light up is checked apart from the burner it runs.

Downdraft between the pieces

Gaggenau designs its ducting so ovens can sit below a downdraft vent built into the counter. When the top and the oven share a cabinet with that ducting, access for a repair has to be planned around it.

Island setups

Gaggenau shows many of these combinations in islands, with downdraft ventilation instead of a hood on the wall. Knowing where the gas line and power feed run in the island speeds up any visit.
