La Cornue stoves,
specifically.
La Cornue has built stoves by hand in France since 1908, and in the US it sells two families: the made-to-order Château with its vaulted ovens, and the CornuFé, a 36- or 43-inch stove with gas burners or induction over electric convection ovens. Owners know their stove by sight; the serial number is what tells us which guide and parts fit.

to La Cornue.
The CornuFé 90 has one large electric convection oven and the CornuFé 110 has two, each under five gas burners or five induction zones. The Château runs from the induction Château 60 up to the Grand Palais 180 in thousands of configurations, so two Château stoves rarely share every part.
Recalled CornuFé dual-fuel models
CornuFé 90 and 110 dual-fuel stoves made from March 19, 2025 through July 24, 2026 are recalled because a test port cap may be missing from the manifold that feeds the burners. La Cornue's recall page checks your serial number, and the electric ovens stay usable while the gas is shut off.
Two ovens, sometimes two fuels
Bigger Château stoves pair one gas vaulted oven with one electric one, while the smaller models carry a single oven in either fuel. When one oven stays cold, its fuel decides whether we start at an igniter or at an element.
An oven that creeps hotter with age
La Cornue's CornuFé guide describes an oven that gets hotter as the stove gets older. When turning the knob down stops helping, the guide says a new thermostat may be needed, fitted by a service person.
What the Château plate letters say
The induction plates on an all-electric Château use four letters: U when the pan is missing or will not work, H while a zone is still hot, L when locked and E for an electronic failure. Three of them describe what the plate is doing; E alone calls for a repair.
Parts
A Château is configured to order, so parts are matched to its serial number and layout rather than to a catalog model. La Cornue does not publish lead times, so availability is confirmed when the part is ordered.
Repair or replace
A handmade stove is almost never replaced over a thermostat, an igniter or an induction board; each of those is changed on its own. Replacement only comes up when the body or enamel is damaged beyond what refinishing can restore.
