BlueStar stoves,
specifically.

BlueStar builds gas and dual-fuel stoves with open or sealed burners, including the build-to-order Nova (RNB) series, and a Platinum induction stove. The dual-fuel and induction models report problems on an oven touchscreen in plain words.

The BlueStar lineup

What is particular
to BlueStar.

BlueStar's lineup covers the Platinum dual-fuel, all-gas and induction models, the Nova (RNB) series and the Culinary open-burner and sealed-burner series. The series and the options chosen decide which burner and oven parts apply.

Open burners, big flames

BlueStar's Culinary series comes with open burners, and its Platinum burners are rated at 25,000 BTU. Big open flames make cleanup under the grates and the condition of each burner head part of every burner repair.

Stoves made to order

The Nova (RNB) series lets owners choose built-in cooking options and swing doors. Two BlueStar stoves of the same width can have different parts, so the model and options on the label matter.

A fan that keeps running

After you switch off a dual-fuel BlueStar oven, the fan behind the panel carries on until the oven is below 200°F. That is normal cooling, not a stuck fan.

Plain-English messages

BlueStar's touchscreen spells out Control Error F20, Probe Error F50 or Fan Error F60 rather than a bare code. The manual pairs each one with the part involved, which helps owners tell us what they saw.

Parts

Burner heads, igniters and valves are common BlueStar parts, while touchscreen controls belong to the dual-fuel and induction models only. Some parts are ordered after the first visit.

Repair or replace

A BlueStar gas stove is simple, heavy and built to be taken apart, so burner, valve and igniter repairs almost always make sense. On the touchscreen models, a failed control is also a single part rather than a reason to replace the stove.

Questions about
BlueStar stoves.

Why does the fan on my BlueStar stove run after I turn the oven off?
BlueStar keeps the fan running until the oven cools below 200°F. It stops by itself; if it never stops, or the screen shows Fan Error F60, book a visit.
Does my BlueStar all-gas stove have error codes?
BlueStar's code lists are in its dual-fuel and induction manuals, which describe the oven touchscreen. On a gas stove without a screen, problems show up as a burner that will not light, a flame that looks wrong or an oven that will not heat.
My BlueStar says Remove Probe. What is wrong?
Nothing is broken. The meat probe is plugged in while Broil or Clean is selected; take it out and continue.
Why do BlueStar open burners need more cleaning?
Open burners let spills run down under the stovetop instead of stopping them at a sealed surface. Keeping that area and the burner heads clean helps ignition.
