On an electric stove a bake or broil element that has burned through is the everyday reason; on a gas stove the oven igniter and the valve it opens are looked at first. The wiring and the relay on the board are checked before the board itself is blamed.

Move any pan, lid or tray that sits over the vent at the back of the stovetop.
While you are still cooking, open and close the oven door a few times for about 3 seconds each to let hot air out.
Another option is to shut the oven off and prop the door open for about a minute.
If C-24 keeps coming back with the vent clear, book a visit.
