Before you book,
in this order.

Each step comes from Fisher & Paykel's own guidance for A1 on its stoves. Follow it to the end: the last card says whether this is a visit.

01

Leave the oven closed and let it cool; do not switch the stove off at the wall, because the cooling fans need power.

02

Wait for the door to unlock and the A1 alert to clear by itself.

03

If A1 keeps coming back during normal cooking, book a visit.

What not to do

A1 does not ask you to cut the power. Fisher & Paykel says the fans must keep running to cool the oven and the cabinets around it.

Questions
about A1.

Can I clear A1 myself?
Leave the oven closed and let it cool; do not switch the stove off at the wall, because the cooling fans need power. If it comes back, it needs a visit.
Should I switch off my Fisher & Paykel stove when A1 appears?
No. The guide says to leave the power on unless told otherwise, because the cooling fans protect the oven and the cabinetry around it. Let it cool and the alert clears.
Why did my Fisher & Paykel oven overheat during a normal bake?
Once after a very long high-heat cook can happen. If A1 appears during ordinary baking, the heat control or cooling needs checking.
Can I use the burners on my Fisher & Paykel stove during an A1 alert?
The alert suspends oven functions. Let the oven cool and the door unlock before cooking again, and watch whether A1 returns.
