What C-F0
actually means.

C-F0 is a communication problem between parts of the stove's electronics, and the electric manual describes C-F2 as the link between the main and touch boards being interrupted. On some Samsung induction models, Samsung says a software update fixes it without a visit.

What to do when C-F0 shows on the stove

Before you book,
in this order.

Each step comes from Samsung's own guidance for C-F0 on its stoves. Follow it to the end: the last card says whether this is a visit.

01

Switch the breaker off for at least 30 seconds and back on.

02

If you own an NSI6D induction model, connect it to SmartThings and restart it so it can download Samsung's update.

03

Book a visit if the code comes back after the reset or the update.

Still there?

It usually turns into control board and display repair. Book with the code and the model number.

What not to do

C-F0 is not a burner or oven heating code. Burners and elements are probably healthy; it is the electronics steering them that dropped the link.

Questions
about C-F0.

Can I clear C-F0 myself?
Switch the breaker off for at least 30 seconds and back on. If it comes back, it needs a visit.
My Samsung induction stove shows C-F0. Is there a fix I can do myself?
On NSI6D induction models, Samsung says an update through SmartThings resolves it. Reset power, connect the stove to the app and restart it; the update can take up to 30 minutes.
Why did C-F0 appear on my Samsung stove after a storm?
A power surge or flicker can upset the boards and break their link. A breaker reset often clears it; a code that stays points at a board or the cable between them.
Does C-F2 on my Samsung mean the display is dead?
Not always. C-F2 means the main and touch boards lost contact, which can come from either board or the cable between them.

Still showing C-F0?

Book with the code written exactly as the stove shows it, the full model number, and whether you notice any smell of gas or hot wiring — when there is a code, that is where the diagnosis starts.
