What F8
actually means.
LG lists F8 and F18 as oven meat probe errors. The probe plugs into a jack on the oven wall, and a damaged probe cable, a dirty jack or a probe left in during self-clean can bring up the code.

What to do when F8 shows on the stoveKind of codeTemperature sensor
The thin probe on the back wall of the oven sent the stove a reading it would not trust, or one that kept climbing past the setting. A loose plug behind the stove or a probe knocked against the racks is ruled out before the sensor or the board is replaced. If the oven keeps getting hotter with the controls turned off, switch the stove off at its breaker first.

Unplug the meat probe and press CLEAR/OFF.
Check the probe cable for kinks or burns and wipe the jack clean once the oven is cool.
Try cooking without the probe; if the code stays, switch the breaker off for 30 seconds and back on.
Book a visit if F8 or F18 shows even with no probe plugged in.
