On an eR7, an S in the roasting and baking oven windows means you have put the cooker into slumber mode, where those ovens sit at a reduced heat instead of a cooking setting. It is chosen with the M button and uses less energy between meals.

To leave slumber for the whole cooker, press and hold M for 3 seconds.
Wait until the oven symbols stop blinking, which means the chosen heat has been reached.

The stove is working again and no part was needed. If the same letters come back while a burner or the oven is on, or the stove switches itself off again in the middle of dinner, book it as a new problem.
