01

Jot down the number and about what time it showed up.

What not to do

A relay code is not a problem with the plate or oven element itself. The element may be fine; it is the switch feeding it that has stuck.

Questions
about 110-116.

Can I clear 110-116 myself?
Jot down the number and about what time it showed up. If it comes back, it needs a visit.
Can I reset the board on my AGA eR7 myself after a relay code?
No. AGA's field manual says owners should not be shown how to reset the board, so the reset is done on a visit.
Does a relay code on my AGA always mean a new board?
Not at first. AGA's order is reset and log, and the board is replaced only if the code keeps coming back.
Why would a stuck relay make my AGA run too hot?
A shorted relay can keep power flowing to an element the control has tried to turn off. That is why an overshooting plate or oven is worth mentioning when you book.

Still showing 110-116?

Book with the code written exactly as the stove shows it, the full model number, and whether you notice any smell of gas or hot wiring — when there is a code, that is where the diagnosis starts.
