Book a visit

Three short steps, about a minute.

or call (844) 415-7620

Before you book,
in this order.

Each step comes from Electrolux's own guidance for 5d on its stoves. Follow it to the end: the last card says whether this is a visit.

01

Disconnect the stove from power at the breaker, then reconnect it.

02

Open the settings menu with the temperature knob and switch the demo parameter off.

03

Try the oven for a few minutes to confirm it heats; book a visit if 5d comes back by itself.

Cleared?

The stove is working again and no part was needed. If the same letters come back while a burner or the oven is on, or the stove switches itself off again in the middle of dinner, book it as a new problem.

What not to do

5d is not a broken heating element or igniter. Nothing heats because the stove has been told not to.

What you may
notice with it.

The stove problems 5d tends to arrive with. Answer these at the stove before anyone is booked.

All problems

No repair indicated

Nothing to repair.

Something the stove was switched into, often by accident, rather than something that broke: a control lock pressed while wiping the panel, a Sabbath setting, a showroom demo mode that lights the display and heats nothing, a reminder that a spot on the stovetop is still hot. No part is worn out, and the stove's own keys put it right.

Questions
about 5d.

Can I clear 5d myself?
Disconnect the stove from power at the breaker, then reconnect it.
My new Electrolux stove shows 5d. Is it defective?
Probably not. 5d is demo mode, often left on from the showroom. Turn it off in the settings after a power cycle.
Why can't I turn off 5d on my Electrolux from the menu alone?
Electrolux asks you to disconnect and reconnect power first, then change the setting.
Does 5d on an Electrolux stop the gas burners too?
The manual says no heat is produced in demo mode. Turn demo mode off before judging any burner or zone.

Back to your everyday

Still showing 5d?

Book with the code written exactly as the stove shows it, the full model number, and whether you notice any smell of gas or hot wiring — when there is a code, that is where the diagnosis starts.
