Book a visit

Three short steps, about a minute.

or call (844) 415-7620

Before you book,
in this order.

Each step comes from AGA's own guidance for 139 on its stoves. Follow it to the end: the last card says whether this is a visit.

01

Take any towel or cloth off the rail and the top left door.

02

Make sure the baking oven door is fully shut and not left ajar.

03

If 139 comes back with the doors closed and nothing draped, book a visit to check the door fit and seals.

Still there?

It usually turns into knob and switch replacement. Book with the code and the model number.

What not to do

139 is not a sign that the panel itself is broken. Most of AGA's listed causes are heat getting where it should not, which a door, a seal or a towel can explain.

What you may
notice with it.

The stove problems 139 tends to arrive with. Answer these at the stove before anyone is booked.

Questions
about 139.

Can I clear 139 myself?
Take any towel or cloth off the rail and the top left door. If it comes back, it needs a visit.
Can a dish towel on my AGA's rail cause code 139?
Yes. AGA names towels draped over the control door as a cause, since they trap heat against the panel and cover its air vent.
My AGA baking oven door does not close as firmly as it used to. Could that be 139?
It could. A door left open or not fitting properly, and a worn seal, are both on AGA's list for this code. Book a visit so the door and seal can be checked.
Will 139 on my AGA go away once the panel cools?
It may, if the cause was a towel or an open door. If it returns while everything is closed and clear, the door fit, seals or probe conduit plugs need a look.

Still showing 139?

Book with the code written exactly as the stove shows it, the full model number, and whether you notice any smell of gas or hot wiring — when there is a code, that is where the diagnosis starts.
