What 0E
actually means.

0E on an older Wolf dual-fuel stove means a power relay reads as closed when it should be open, or the element circuit or relay driver has failed. A stuck relay can keep an element heating after you turn the oven off.

What to do when 0E shows on the stove

Before you book,
in this order.

Each step comes from Wolf's own guidance for 0E on its stoves. Follow it to the end: the last card says whether this is a visit.

01

Turn the oven off and watch whether it keeps heating; if it does, switch the stove's breaker off, as long as you can do that without reaching past the stove.

02

After a few minutes, restore power and see whether 0E returns and whether the oven behaves normally.

03

If 0E comes back or the oven keeps heating, leave the breaker off and book a visit.

What not to do

0E is not the letter O and a zero from a timer or clock setting. It is a relay and element circuit problem that can leave heat on.

Every code on this site is taken from the manufacturer's documentation, never from a forum or a parts listing. Older Wolf dual-fuel stoves whose oven selector knob has a small display window. The newer dual-fuel models report four-character codes instead. Wolf's page lists both 0E and OE.

Questions
about 0E.

Can I clear 0E myself?
Turn the oven off and watch whether it keeps heating; if it does, switch the stove's breaker off, as long as you can do that without reaching past the stove. If it comes back, it needs a visit.
Why is my Wolf oven still hot after I turned it off and 0E showed?
0E means a relay the control uses to switch an element reads as stuck closed. That can keep power going to the element, so cutting the breaker is the safe move until a technician tests it.
Is it OE or 0E on my Wolf stove?
Wolf writes it both ways on its help page. The display shows a zero that looks like the letter O.
Can a power surge cause 0E on a Wolf stove?
A surge can damage the relay or its driver on the control board. Either way, the part that failed has to be found; the code will keep coming back until it is replaced.

Still showing 0E?

Book with the code written exactly as the stove shows it, the full model number, and whether you notice any smell of gas or hot wiring — when there is a code, that is where the diagnosis starts.
