What to do when F40 shows on the stoveKind of codeStovetop elements
A burner on an electric or induction stovetop did not heat the way the knob or key asked, heated with nothing set, or ran hotter than the setting. The pan, a lock left on and the switch behind the knob are checked before the element under the glass, its limiter or an induction board is changed. If a burner keeps heating after it has been switched off, turn the stove's breaker off before anything else.
Usually leads toGlass stovetop repair

Before you book,
in this order.
Each step comes from Electrolux's own guidance for F40 on its stoves. Follow it to the end: the last card says whether this is a visit.
Turn all the element knobs off.
Cut the supply for as long as 30 seconds, then turn it back on.
Book a visit if F40 or F41 returns.
What not to do
F40 is not the lock you set to keep children off the controls. That lock is canceled by holding OFF, while F40 is the control's own lockout.
What you may
notice with it.
The stove problems F40 tends to arrive with. Answer these at the stove before anyone is booked.
