What F/3
actually means.
ZLINE fits a temperature sensor, called an NTC, to each induction coil. F/3 says one of those sensors has failed or has lost its connection, so the control has no way to judge that coil's heat.

What to do when F/3 shows on the stoveKind of codeTemperature sensor
The thin probe on the back wall of the oven sent the stove a reading it would not trust, or one that kept climbing past the setting. A loose plug behind the stove or a probe knocked against the racks is ruled out before the sensor or the board is replaced. If the oven keeps getting hotter with the controls turned off, switch the stove off at its breaker first.

What not to do
F/3 is not the same as E/1, which reports a coil running too hot. F/3 means the sensor itself has failed or come loose, so the control cannot read the coil at all.
