What E/5
actually means.
E/5 says the sensor that reads an induction coil's temperature has come unplugged or slipped out of place. ZLINE's fix is a service call to put the sensor back in position or fit a new one.

What to do when E/5 shows on the stoveKind of codeTemperature sensor
The thin probe on the back wall of the oven sent the stove a reading it would not trust, or one that kept climbing past the setting. A loose plug behind the stove or a probe knocked against the racks is ruled out before the sensor or the board is replaced. If the oven keeps getting hotter with the controls turned off, switch the stove off at its breaker first.

What not to do
E/5 is not a heat warning like E/1. It means the sensor is not where it should be, so the zone cannot read its own heat.
