The setup menu on Bertazzoni's dual-fuel and induction stoves includes a showroom function meant only for retailers. When the oven will not heat, Bertazzoni's first check is that showroom has been switched off.

Something the stove was switched into, often by accident, rather than something that broke: a control lock pressed while wiping the panel, a Sabbath setting, a showroom demo mode that lights the display and heats nothing, a reminder that a spot on the stovetop is still hot. No part is worn out, and the stove's own keys put it right.
