Book a visit

Three short steps, about a minute.

or call (844) 415-7620

Before you book,
in this order.

Each step comes from Bertazzoni's own guidance for L on its stoves. Follow it to the end: the last card says whether this is a visit.

01

Make sure all zones are off.

02

Turn the zone 1 and zone 2 knobs left together, hold until the L clears, and let go.

03

Set the zone you want as usual.

Cleared?

The stove is working again and no part was needed. If the same letters come back while a burner or the oven is on, or the stove switches itself off again in the middle of dinner, book it as a new problem.

What not to do

L is not a failed knob or control board. It is a safety lock that is easy to set by accident while cleaning the knobs.

What you may
notice with it.

The stove problems L tends to arrive with. Answer these at the stove before anyone is booked.

All problems

No repair indicated

Nothing to repair.

Something the stove was switched into, often by accident, rather than something that broke: a control lock pressed while wiping the panel, a Sabbath setting, a showroom demo mode that lights the display and heats nothing, a reminder that a spot on the stovetop is still hot. No part is worn out, and the stove's own keys put it right.

In Bertazzoni's own words

With the cooking zones off, turn the knobs of zones 1 and 2 to the left simultaneously until L appears on the power display

Questions
about L.

Can I clear L myself?
Make sure all zones are off.
My Bertazzoni induction zones show L and will not heat. How do I unlock them?
With every zone off, turn the knobs for zones 1 and 2 to the left together until L goes away, then release them.
How did my Bertazzoni lock itself?
The lock is set by turning the first two zone knobs left at once, which can happen while wiping the front of the stove. Undo it the same way.
Is the Bertazzoni lock worth using with small children at home?
That is what Bertazzoni designed it for: to keep the zones from being switched on by accident. Remember to release it before cooking.

Still showing L?

Book with the code written exactly as the stove shows it, the full model number, and whether you notice any smell of gas or hot wiring — when there is a code, that is where the diagnosis starts.
