Bertazzoni induction zone
showing P

P on a Bertazzoni zone display is power mode, which runs that zone at maximum output for no more than 10 minutes, for example to boil a large pot of water quickly.

Book a visit

Three short steps, about a minute.

or call (844) 415-7620

Before you book,
in this order.

Each step comes from Bertazzoni's own guidance for P on its stoves. Follow it to the end: the last card says whether this is a visit.

01

Nothing is needed; P ends by itself after 10 minutes.

02

Keep an eye on the pan while P is on, since it heats very fast.

03

Turn the knob to a lower level if you want to stop sooner.

Cleared?

The stove is working again and no part was needed. If the same letters come back while a burner or the oven is on, or the stove switches itself off again in the middle of dinner, book it as a new problem.

What not to do

P is not a warning or a stuck setting. It is a timed boost that you choose by turning past 9, and it switches off on schedule.

What you may
notice with it.

The stove problems P tends to arrive with. Answer these at the stove before anyone is booked.

All problems

No repair indicated

Nothing to repair.

Something the stove was switched into, often by accident, rather than something that broke: a control lock pressed while wiping the panel, a Sabbath setting, a showroom demo mode that lights the display and heats nothing, a reminder that a spot on the stovetop is still hot. No part is worn out, and the stove's own keys put it right.

In Bertazzoni's own words

operate each heating zone continuously at the maximum power for a time of no more than 10 minutes.

Questions
about P.

Can I clear P myself?
Nothing is needed; P ends by itself after 10 minutes.
My Bertazzoni zone dropped from P to 9 by itself. Is that normal?
Yes. Power mode lasts at most 10 minutes, then the zone returns to 9 and P goes out.
How do I get P on my Bertazzoni induction zone?
Turn the knob up to 9, then on to the P position and let go. P appears on that zone's display.
Is it bad for my Bertazzoni to use P often?
The manual offers it for quick boiling and searing and limits it to 10 minutes by design. Using it that way is what it is for.

Still showing P?

Book with the code written exactly as the stove shows it, the full model number, and whether you notice any smell of gas or hot wiring — when there is a code, that is where the diagnosis starts.
