Book a visit

Three short steps, about a minute.

or call (844) 415-7620

Before you book,
in this order.

Each step comes from SKS's own guidance for Loc on its stoves. Follow it to the end: the last card says whether this is a visit.

01

Set the oven mode knob to Off.

02

Hold the Probe key for three seconds; Lock Out switches off.

03

Straight after a self-clean the door may stay latched for as long as an hour until the oven has cooled.

Cleared?

The stove is working again and no part was needed. If the same letters come back while a burner or the oven is on, or the stove switches itself off again in the middle of dinner, book it as a new problem.

What not to do

Loc is not a failed door latch or control. It is a lock you can set on purpose, often to keep children from the stove.

What you may
notice with it.

The stove problems Loc tends to arrive with. Answer these at the stove before anyone is booked.

All problems

No repair indicated

Nothing to repair.

Something the stove was switched into, often by accident, rather than something that broke: a control lock pressed while wiping the panel, a Sabbath setting, a showroom demo mode that lights the display and heats nothing, a reminder that a spot on the stovetop is still hot. No part is worn out, and the stove's own keys put it right.

In SKS's own words

The Lock Out feature automatically locks the oven door and prevents most oven and cooktop controls from being turned on.

Questions
about Loc.

Can I clear Loc myself?
Set the oven mode knob to Off.
My SKS burners will not light and the display says Loc. Why?
Loc means Lock Out is on, and it blocks most burner and oven controls. Turn the mode knob to Off, then hold Probe for three seconds.
Why does my SKS oven light still work while Loc is on?
Lock Out leaves the timer and the oven light working by design; it blocks the heating controls and locks the door.
My SKS door stays locked after self-clean with no Loc. What now?
After a self-clean, SKS allows up to an hour for the oven to cool before the door releases. Book a visit if it is still locked once that hour has passed.

Still showing Loc?

Book with the code written exactly as the stove shows it, the full model number, and whether you notice any smell of gas or hot wiring — when there is a code, that is where the diagnosis starts.
