What F-9
actually means.
SKS's code table for the gas slide-in defines F-9 as oven not heating. Its troubleshooting pages add that F9 or F19 with the top burners still working can mean the gas pressure regulator valve is closed, and that valve belongs to the gas installation, which is a technician's work.

What to do when F-9 shows on the stoveKind of codeOven heating
The oven part of the stove was set to bake or broil and did not warm the way the controls expected, or took far too long to get there. On an electric stove a bake or broil element that has burned through is the everyday reason; on a gas stove the oven igniter and the valve it opens are looked at first. The wiring and the relay on the board are checked before the board itself is blamed.

Before you book,
in this order.

Turn the breaker off for five minutes, then back on.
Try the oven again and note whether the burners on top light normally.
Book a visit if F-9 returns, and leave valves and gas fittings alone. Smell gas? Leave the house and phone the gas utility once you are outside.

What not to do
F-9 is not always a failed igniter or burner in the oven. On a newly installed stove, a closed regulator valve can cause it while the top burners work perfectly.
