F31 is Frigidaire's shorted probe code, the mirror image of F30. The circuit reads as if its wires are touching, which a pinched harness or a failed sensor can cause.

The thin probe on the back wall of the oven sent the stove a reading it would not trust, or one that kept climbing past the setting. A loose plug behind the stove or a probe knocked against the racks is ruled out before the sensor or the board is replaced.
