What C-70
actually means.
C-70 on a Dacor dual-fuel stove with steam cooking means the steam sensor is open or shorted while the oven runs. Steam modes cannot work without it.

What to do when C-70 shows on the stoveKind of codeTemperature sensor
The thin probe on the back wall of the oven sent the stove a reading it would not trust, or one that kept climbing past the setting. A loose plug behind the stove or a probe knocked against the racks is ruled out before the sensor or the board is replaced. If the oven keeps getting hotter with the controls turned off, switch the stove off at its breaker first.

Before you book,
in this order.
Each step comes from Dacor's own guidance for C-70 on its stoves. Follow it to the end: the last card says whether this is a visit.
Set the mode knob and the temperature knob to Off, then start the oven again.
If C-70 stays, cut every bit of power to the stove for 30 seconds or longer before switching it back on.
Book a visit if it returns; normal bake modes may still work in the meantime.
