or call (844) 415-7620

Before you book,
in this order.

Each step comes from Dacor's own guidance for C-23 on its stoves. Follow it to the end: the last card says whether this is a visit.

01

Unplug the probe from the oven and check the cable and plug for damage.

02

Turn the knob to Off and restart the oven without the probe.

03

If C-23 shows without the probe plugged in, book a visit.

It usually turns into stove oven heating repair. Book with the code and the model number.

What not to do

C-23 is not the main oven sensor, which is C-20. Baking without the probe usually still works.

Questions
about C-23.

Can I clear C-23 myself?
Unplug the probe from the oven and check the cable and plug for damage. If it comes back, it needs a visit.
My Dacor probe cable got pinched in the door. Can that cause C-23?
Yes. A crushed cable can short inside. Try the oven without the probe; if C-23 goes away, the probe needs replacing.
Can I bake on my Dacor stove after C-23?
Take the probe out and restart. If the code clears, bake as usual with a separate thermometer.
Why does C-23 show on my Dacor stove with no probe plugged in?
Then the socket or the wiring behind it is reading wrong, and that needs a technician.

Back to your everyday

Still showing C-23?

Book with the code written exactly as the stove shows it, the full model number, and whether you notice any smell of gas or hot wiring — when there is a code, that is where the diagnosis starts.
