What LOC
actually means.
On a KitchenAid stove, LOC means the lock feature is on. It shuts down the control pads and locks the oven door so nobody starts the oven by accident, and LOC shows again whenever a pad is pressed.

The latch that holds the oven door shut during self-clean did not move where the stove told it to, or its switch reported the wrong position. It turns up most often during or right after a self-clean cycle, or once the door has been lifted off for cleaning.
