Where stoves sit in Nassau County: mixed housing, specified kitchens, on the water. [All of New York Metro](https://stoverepair.center/locations/new-york/) ### Mixed housing Older houses on these streets may still feed a gas stove through rigid pipe rather than a flexible connector, which makes pulling it out harder, so the move is planned with the gas off and the connection brought up to current practice. ### Specified kitchens Classic European stoves with cast-iron hotplates or a French top are kept for decades in these kitchens, and their owners want them repaired rather than replaced, which means parts ordered from the maker by the stove's serial number. ### On the water Owners who evacuate or close up for storm season often shut the stove's gas at its valve, and after reopening it a burner may need a few clicks to clear air from the line; one that clicks and never lights deserves a visit, not more tries. ## Where we go in Nassau County. 11 cities and neighborhoods across Nassau County, part of New York Metro, 1 of them with a page on what that place does to a stove.
