Err 02 on an older Wolf dual-fuel stove means the oven passed 630°F with the door unlocked, or 950°F with it locked for self-clean. The control stops heating because the cavity ran far past any normal setting. Wolf stove display · also shown as Err 02, Err 2 What to do when 02 shows on the stove ### Kind of code Oven heating The oven part of the stove was set to bake or broil and did not warm the way the controls expected, or took far too long to get there. Turn the oven off and keep the door closed while it cools; if you see smoke or flame inside, keep it shut and call 911. If it comes back, it needs a visit. ### How hot does a Wolf oven get before it shows Err 02? Wolf sets the stop at 630°F with the door unlocked and 950°F during a locked self-clean. Reaching either one means heat kept coming when it should have stopped. ### My Wolf stove showed Err 02 once and then worked. Should I worry? Once after a power blip can be a one-off, but it deserves attention. Watch the next few bakes with an oven thermometer, and book a visit if the oven runs hot or the code shows again. ### Can I still use the burners on my Wolf stove with Err 02? The gas burners on top are separate from the oven heating, so they usually light. Leave the oven off until the cause of the overheating is found. --- **[Read on the site: Wolf stove showing Err 02 with a very hot oven](https://stoverepair.center/error-codes/wolf-02/)** **[Book a visit with StoveRepair.center](https://stoverepair.center/schedule/)**
