--- title: "Samsung stove shows -dE- or -dC- with the oven divider" description: "What -dE- means on Samsung stove shows -dE- or -dC- with the oven dividers, what to check before booking, and when it is not a failure at all." url: "https://stoverepair.center/error-codes/samsung-de/" --- # Samsung stove shows -dE- or -dC- with the oven divider Samsung ovens that can be split into two compartments use a partition and a switch at the back of the oven. ## What -dE- actually means. Samsung ovens that can be split into two compartments use a partition and a switch at the back of the oven. -dE- or -dC- means the control does not see the partition where the chosen mode expects it, or you started cooking before putting it in. Samsung stove display · also shown as -dC- What to do when -dE- shows on the stove ### Kind of code Mode, not a failure Something the stove was switched into, often by accident, rather than something that broke: a control lock pressed while wiping the panel, a Sabbath setting, a showroom demo mode that lights the display and heats nothing, a reminder that a spot on the stovetop is still hot. No part is worn out, and the stove's own keys put it right. ### Usually leads to No repair Slide the divider out and push it back in all the way on the correct rack position. ### Shows up as Oven on My Stove Won't Heat Up The burners on top work, but the oven underneath stays cold, heats only a little, or never reaches the temperature you set. ### Make Samsung The Korean electronics maker, whose stoves come in gas, electric and induction models, many app-connected. ### Source Samsung support: range or wall oven error codes Applies to Samsung ovens with a partition (twin or Flex Duo mode), per Samsung's range and wall oven code page. ## Before you book, in this order. Each step comes from Samsung's own guidance for -dE- on its stoves. Follow it to the end: the last card says whether this is a visit. 01 Slide the divider out and push it back in all the way on the correct rack position. 02 Use the third position from the top on electric and dual fuel models, or the fourth on gas models. 03 If the divider is not in the oven, check that nothing is pressing on the switch at the back wall. 04 Book a visit if the code stays with the divider seated correctly. ### Cleared? The stove is working again and no part was needed. If the same letters come back while a burner or the oven is on, or the stove switches itself off again in the middle of dinner, book it as a new problem. ### What not to do -dE- says nothing about the elements, burner or sensor. Slide the divider out and push it back in all the way on the correct rack position. ### Which slot does the Samsung oven divider go in? Samsung says the third position from the top on electric and dual fuel models and the fourth on gas models. The divider must be pushed in all the way to press the switch. ### My Samsung shows -dC- but I removed the divider. Why? Something may be pressing on the partition switch in the back of the oven, such as a pan pushed too far back. Clear the back wall and try again. ### Can I bake with -dE- showing on my Samsung stove? Not in the split mode you picked. Either seat the divider properly or choose a single-oven mode without it. --- **[Read on the site: Samsung stove shows -dE- or -dC- with the oven divider](https://stoverepair.center/error-codes/samsung-de/)** **[Book a visit with StoveRepair.center](https://stoverepair.center/schedule/)**
