Sb means Sabbath mode is on. LG says it is not an error code: the temperature cannot be changed, and the timer, light and alarm functions are disabled until the mode is turned off. LG stove display · also shown as 5b What to do when Sb shows on the stove ### Kind of code Mode, not a failure Something the stove was switched into, often by accident, rather than something that broke: a control lock pressed while wiping the panel, a Sabbath setting, a showroom demo mode that lights the display and heats nothing, a reminder that a spot on the stovetop is still hot. The stove is working again and no part was needed. If the same letters come back while a burner or the oven is on, or the stove switches itself off again in the middle of dinner, book it as a new problem. ### What not to do Sb is not a frozen or broken control.
