On an electric stove a bake or broil element that has burned through is the everyday reason; on a gas stove the oven igniter and the valve it opens are looked at first. Press CLEAR/OFF and start the bake again. If it comes back, it needs a visit. ### My LG gas oven clicks but shows F9 and stays cold. Why? The control sees no temperature rise, often because the oven igniter is too weak to open the gas valve. That needs a visit; do not try to light the oven by hand. ### Does F19 on my LG mean the element burned out? It can, but a relay on the board or a loose wire can cause the same code. The part is confirmed with a meter before anything is ordered. ### Can I bake with F6 on my LG if I set a higher temperature? No. The oven is not heating the way it should, so turning it up does not fix it.
