On LG double-oven stoves, F4 and F5 are the lower oven's thermistor codes. The upper oven may carry on working while the lower one refuses to heat. A loose plug behind the stove or a probe knocked against the racks is ruled out before the sensor or the board is replaced. Clear the code with CLEAR/OFF and restart the bottom oven. If it comes back, it needs a visit. ### Can I keep using the top oven of my LG while F4 is showing? Usually yes, because F4 concerns the lower oven's sensor. Book a visit if the upper oven also misbehaves. ### Why does F5 show on my LG only when I use the bottom oven? The control checks each sensor when its oven is in use. A lower sensor that reads badly will only raise F5 once that oven is turned on. ### Is F4 on an LG the same repair as F1? It is the same kind of part in a different oven.
