LG lists both F1 and F2 as an upper oven thermistor error. The thermistor is the probe on the oven's back wall that tells the control how hot it is; on a single-oven LG it is simply the oven sensor. Without a believable reading, the oven stops heating. A loose plug behind the stove or a probe knocked against the racks is ruled out before the sensor or the board is replaced. Press CLEAR/OFF and start the same function again. If it comes back, it needs a visit. ### My LG stove has only one oven. Why does F1 say upper oven? LG's list uses one wording for all its stoves. On a single-oven model, F1 points at the one oven sensor. ### Can I use the LG burners while F1 is showing? The code concerns the oven sensor, so the top usually keeps working. Use it with care and leave the oven off until it is checked. ### F2 on my LG went away after a reset. Should I still book a visit? If the oven now bakes normally, you can wait and watch.
