ES on a JennAir stove means Energy Save mode is on. Once the stove sits unused for five minutes, ES and On flash up and the screen goes dark until a key is pressed or the door opens. Follow it to the end: the last card says whether this is a visit. 01 Touch a key or open the oven door, and the display comes back. 02 Hold CLOCK down for 10 seconds to switch the feature off; the display confirms with ES and Off. 03 If the display stays blank after a key press, check the breaker and book a visit. ### Cleared? The stove is working again and no part was needed. If the same letters come back while a burner or the oven is on, or the stove switches itself off again in the middle of dinner, book it as a new problem. ### What not to do ES is not a failure, and E5 is how it can look on the display.
