Let the oven cool fully; a hot oven keeps the door locked on purpose. If it comes back, it needs a visit. ### Can I open my GE oven door by hand with F9 showing? Do not pry it. The latch can be damaged and the oven may still be hot inside; cool it down, reset the breaker, and book a visit if it stays locked. ### Why did F9 appear on my GE when I never run self-clean?
