Press Cancel/Off and note what the oven was doing when F5 appeared. If it comes back, it needs a visit. ### Did a storm cause F5 on my GE stove? A surge can upset an electronic control. Try the breaker reset GE suggests; if F5 comes back once power is steady, the control needs a closer look. ### Can I keep baking with F5 on my GE? GE advises keeping the stove off at the breaker until it is serviced. The burners can be used with the breaker on for a short while. ### Is F5 on a GE the same problem as FF? GE gives F5, F8 and FF the same meaning: the electronic control usually needs replacing.
