With F3 the control is getting a reading it cannot use, and GE says the sensor normally needs replacing. A loose plug behind the stove or a probe knocked against the racks is ruled out before the sensor or the board is replaced. Turn the oven off and let it cool. If it comes back, it needs a visit. ### Where is the sensor that F3 on my GE stove is about? It is the slim metal probe on the inside back wall of the oven, near the top. It plugs into a harness behind the back panel. ### My GE oven burned a cake and then showed F3. Are they related? They can be. A sensor that reads wrong can let the oven run hot before the control flags it, so mention the burned bake when you book. ### Is F3 the same as F4 on a GE stove? GE gives both the same explanation, a sensor that needs replacing.
