A backwards C in the display of a GE stove means Sabbath Mode is on. In that mode the display and tones stay quiet and the oven behaves differently until the mode is turned off. If the same letters come back while a burner or the oven is on, or the stove switches itself off again in the middle of dinner, book it as a new problem. ### What not to do The backwards C is not a stuck or broken segment in the display.
