Turn the breaker for the stove off and keep it off. If it comes back, it needs a visit. ### My new AGA Elise showed U400 the first time it was turned on. Is it defective? U400 means the stove was connected incorrectly, which points at the installation rather than the stove. Cut the breaker and book a visit so the hookup can be put right. ### Why does my AGA induction top switch off a second after I turn it on? If U400 is showing, that is exactly what AGA describes: the control shuts off after about a second because of a wrong connection. Keep the breaker off until the hookup has been checked. ### Can U400 appear on my AGA after an electrician worked in the house? It can, if the stove's supply was disturbed or reconnected differently.
